I have a few questions for our jurisprudential FrontBurnervians. You been following the Press Club scandal? I know, I know. It gives me tired head, too. But bear with me. If Lisa/Elizabeth Albanese solicited Katie Award entries via e-mail and online, and then received many of those entries, accompanied by entry fees, via Uncle Sam’s mail, ain’t we talking about wire fraud? And since many of these entries crossed state lines, does that make it a federal matter? Finally, is there a precedent for a board being prosecuted for the misdeeds of a fellow board member, even if the rest of the board wasn’t involved with, even had no direct knowledge of, the crime being committed?
