WIRELESS PIONEER TO SLEEP IN LATE

|

Gilles Delfassy, a senior vice president at Texas Instruments, announced his retirement. Big deal, right? Kinda is, in fact. Delfassy was with TI for 28 years and was with the company’s “wireless terminals unit” since the day it started back in 1995. To quote from that linked-to story,

Under his leadership, TI developed the OMAP platform, which enables multimedia on cell phones thereby broadening wireless capability beyond voice.

Don’t cry for Delfassy. Looks like he’ll do okay, with stock options and such.
