MODERN LUXURY’S READERSHIP PROBLEM

A few months ago we reported on two independent studies of affluent readers by the New York research firm Monroe Mendelsohn that Modern Luxury has a problem getting anyone to read it, for which they threatened to sue us and to which threat our lawyers replied, “You’ve got to be kidding.”

Now we have an admission from Modern Luxury itself. It recently submitted its required publisher’s statement to the Audit Bureau of Circulations for the period ending June 30, 2006. Average number of subscribers: 235. Average newsstand sale: 163.

Lawsuit, anyone?
