NEWS MISSES ON VICE FUND STORY

Today in the paper, there was a big smooch job (a sanitized version of the phrase I’d prefer to use, in deference to the kids reading) about the Vice Fund. They invest in “sin businesses”: tobacco, booze, gambling, bombs. Good for them. But the Vice Fund is operated by Mutuals.com (and GNI Capital), and Mutuals.com has a very checkered past. Can you say “market timing trades”? Well, okay, even if you can’t say it, you can at least print it. Use small print if you must. But that stuff should have been included in the News story.
