TROUTT MORE INTERESTED IN HOOPS THAN MINDING THE STORE

|

Yesterday I pointed out the great story in the DMN about billionaire Kenny Troutt, who foots the bill for his sons’ little league basketball teams. Private jets, luxury hotels, etc. Hey, I can think of worse ways to spend your money and time.

Comes today, though, word from a source who says that some of Troutt’s business minions are sick of his basketball fever. Rumblings from inside Troutt’s camp suggest that for Troutt deal-making has taken a back seat to recruiting pre-teens who can dribble and shoot. Again, which activity is a more worthy pursuit depends on your perspective. But fuel for those jets isn’t getting any cheaper. IJS.
