A theatergoer with a long memory has this to say:
A bit cheeky and schizophrenic of them to give the first Artistic Director Emeritus to Hamburger when without Paul Baker — wouldn’t have been anyplace for Hamburger to even be. What a shame that they don’t acknowledge him for his contributions while he is still alive.
Somebody say a loud ouch. We’d need to go back almost 25 years to the time when Paul Baker was pushed out to get the whole story. Mr. Baker’s daughter Robyn Flatt carries on his way of doing things at the Dallas Children’s Theater, whose connections to the rest of the Dallas theater scene are visible everywhere.
