The DBJ reports Dr. Tim Redman has less than one week left as director of UTD’s chess program. Redman is retiring “to devote more time to teaching, researching, and writing.” One imagines the UTD chess program will still be checkmatin’ all otha suckas for years to come, but Redman deserves mad props for making it what it was.
Seriously, it’s a big deal.
