FALSE ALARM

|

A former Monkey Paw and current FrontBurner-lovin’ gal reports:

Understand that when Heath Millett, the owner/chef of NOW, arrived at the restaurant the other day, he saw a fire truck pulled up front and a fireman with a axe rushing to front door to bash it in. Millett threw himself between the fireman and the front door. Seems that the fire department had received six calls from folks in the Quadrangle neighborhood that NOW was on fire. Wrong. When the NOW’s morning crew had started up the outdoor misting system, it appeared that the entire place was steaming with “smoke.” The smell from the wood oven also “fueled” the false alarm.

Brave CHEF.
