ROD DREHER AIN’T GETTIN’ RICH

|

An alert FBvian points us to Reason‘s review of Dreher’s book, titled “God, Guts, and Granola.” The review includes this line:

Right now, I’m envious of Dreher, whose anti-materialist conservative book is selling like crazy at Amazon.com.

I ran into the DMN editorial boarder a few evenings ago, and he told me he’s getting a lot of that, people thinking that all the pub for his book must be translating into monster sales and commensurate royalties. Um, yeah, not so much. Rod says the book is doing well. Sure. But we’re talking a fairly limited audience of pointy headed intellectuals. (Snark!) And he’s by no means getting rich. In fact, he’ll have to sell a lot more copies before royalties even kick in.
