Don’t forget the Lakewood Parade which allows no commercial nor political entries. Also the party at the end of the route, Tokalon Park is stellar and features a special Woodrow Wilson Wildcat Tent.
The party stops when the free beer (donations appreciated) are finally floated (the usual suspects are always at the kegs after everyone else has decamped to private parties). And Lakewood Country Club also has fireworks (best viewing spot from the mansions on Country Club Circle — off Gaston and they really don’t mind your sitting in their front yards).
