Paula Lambert, head cheese of Dallas’ Mozzarella Company, sends this note from the West Coast:
I’m in Portland. We just won two blue ribbons for our cheese at the American Cheese Society! One for our Mozzarella and one for our Smoked Scamorza! It is a very big deal and I am thrilled! And we won one red second place for our Queso Blanco with Chiles and two third place ribbons for our Mascarpone with Pecan Pralines and our Caciocavallo. There were 941 entries in the entire competition vs 700 plus last year.
Is this a cheesy place to live or what?! Way to go, Paula!
