I was surprised to find the Magnolia theater more than half full for the Friday night showing of Al Gore’s widely acclaimed film on global warming, An Inconvenient Truth. The film is amazing on several levels, but I agree with critic Roger Ebert who wrote, “This is a film that every American simply must see.” You will come away with a much clearer picture of the whole problem, and what we must do to fix it. And baby, it is a problem! Note to Gore-haters (and others who, like myself, distrust 99 percent of everything politicians say): yes, he’s a big part of the movie, but in a more human, approachable way. He shows admirable restraint in laying blame, but rather focuses on the issue and how to solve it. In the end, moviegoers are asked to visit this web site for how to take action. Go see this movie!
