Three reasons. Indisputable.
1. In the third quarter, with the Mavs down by a ton and desperately needing a momentum-shifter, Adam pulled out the plastic clapper that he got while attending game No. 5 and started clapping it. Shortly thereafter, the Mavs turned it around.
2. In the second quarter, with the Mavs down by so many that only a radical change in strategy could turn things around, Rod turned his TV to another station. Brilliant bit of strategy. When he turned back to the game, the Mavs were ahead.
3. In the fourth quarter, when the Mavs were making their run and needed just a little more umph to put them over the edge, yrs trly switched from beer to orange martinis. You know the rest of the story.
