The DMN‘s ace city hall reporter Emily Ramshaw teams up with Tim Wyatt today for a welcome update on the long-pending FBI investigation into Mayor Pro Tem and recently engaged Don Hill and others over allegations involving low-cost housing deals.
A whole lot of the folks are black, which has not gone unnoticed among black or white residents of the city, and may or may not be irrevelant/coincidental. You gotta go with your gut feeling about the inherent fairness and goodness of the feds and their politicization. Good piece, but we still don’t know what the FBI is going to do.
If I were a betting man I’d put good money on some kind of bombshell timed between now and the mayoral election. Neutralizing the southern sector vote by tarnishing it as mired in corruption would serve Her Honor’s campaign pretty effectively. Not that the FBI gets into that sort of thing.
