RE: TROUBLE IN UPTOWN?

|

An official-word-getting FrontBurnervian verifies the knife man in Uptown last night:

Dallas Police Senior Crpl Janice Crowther says that yesterday, about 4:30pm in the 3900 Blk of Buena Vista (mapsco 35Y)…a woman parked and got out of her car. A black male, about 39 yrs old approached and asked her if she knew someone that he was looking for…then pulled out a box cutter. She threw her purse at him and told him to take what he wanted. He did, then demanded her jewelry and took off on foot. The woman, said to be 35 yrs old, was not hurt. At this time, police dont know of any similar crimes in the area, but will get with their detectives on it. Crowther says the woman did the right thing.
