Here is the latest restaurant gossip on the street–and thanks to the many FrontBurnervian Foodies who contributed to this rumor behind the news. Allegedly Avner Samuel is taking over the George space on Inwood and opening another Bistro A-style concept. He will keep Aurora on Oak Lawn and open another in Las Vegas. At the moment I’m too tired to comment on this move, but somebody please help me knock some sense into this knucklehead. Avner, I love you–you are the most talented chef in Dallas. But if this rumor is truth, I may have to say that you aren’t the smartest. Ask Stephan Pyles about Vegas. Dude, all the big guys from Vegas and NYC are coming here. Use your home-court advantage and return their serves with deep, blistering backhand shots. You can do it. Then, you can go to Vegas. IJS.
