TOLL TAG FOR HOT DOGS

|

Spending a summer evening watching baseball at Ameriquest Field in Arlington is one of the great simple pleasures in life. The only major negative is long concession lines. This is particularly bad if you are a father trying to service multiple orders from the wife and kids. A new invention may help: “blink” contactless payment technology. It’s a chip in your credit card (currently only offered by Chase Bank) that lets you just hold up the card in from of the register and go – no swiping or signing receipts, no fumbling for change. “blink” is being debuted at tomorrow night’s Rangers vs. Anaheim Angels game at 7:05 p.m. Like the TollTag (whose technology was developed here in Dallas), “blink” will only reduce waiting times if a critical mass of consumers are using it. Still, the concept has merit and here’s to a successful debut.
