TODAY’S PROTESTS MAY NOT MATTER

To the local economy, that is. So says Dr. Mike Davis of SMU’s Cox School of Business. He argues that today’s walk-out, called a “Day Without Immigrants,” won’t dent Dallas’ economy unless 35 percent of immigrants don’t show at work, which Davis thinks is unlikely.

But in terms of the rally’s overall effect, well, it has the public’s attention doesn’t it?
