THE STATE OF DALLAS BLOGGING

|

Way back in ye olden tymes, when FrontBurner launched, we were really the only game in town. No Bold Types nor Sports Say nor Dallas Morning Views. No Unfair Park. No Dallas Blog. I forget when Boyd, Gwinn, and Adelman got started, but they don’t count because I’m the one counting right now. Point is, FrontBurner was the little house on the prairie.

Now we have urban sprawl. Rod and Julie Lyons are talking about each other on their respective blogs. Big Bob Wilonsky is pointing out mistakes on FrontBurner. Adam is worried Big Bob thinks he stole his Norah Jones post. I’m linking to Jim Schutze’s entries. Dallas Blog is posting about our post about the posting going on over at Bold Types. Maybe the metaphor is more orgy than urban sprawl.

From my chair, it’s tiring to keep up. Every morning now, I feel like I’ve got to read too many blogs, be attentive to too many lovers. I’m spent before I’ve finished my first cup of coffee.

So I wonder how the readers feel. Is all this action fun to watch? Or is it just, well, a bit much? E-mail your thoughts to Adam.
