Feisty political maverick Barbara Renaud Gonzalez’ web site, “Las True Stories From San Antonio,” calls us “that smart-sassy publication in Dallas.” The former Dallasite with deep roots in the Latino cultural community is now crusading–you know, something newspapers used to do–for a big shake-up at San Antonio’s Guadalupe Cultural Center. See a reference to La Barbara in this month’s letters section of the print version of FrontBurner. And props back to her; it’s lonely work she’s doing in a major Texas city, where, unlike here, there are almost no alternatives to the only daily.
