PRESTON CENTER POST OFFICE ISN’T EASY

By Tim Rogers |

A FrontBurnervian reports from the field:

In a rare piece of interagency co-opteration, the City of Dallas and the U.S. Postal Service have teamed up to co-opt both service and parking at the Preston Center Post Office on Turtle Creek Blvd. The city posted no parking signs for the entire west side of the street in front of the post office and then the Postal Service removed its outdoor drop boxes and closed the north parking lot exit, forcing drivers to circumnavigate the facility (which was handy as they were searching in vain for the missing drop boxes). It must surely have to do with the mammoth hole in the ground at the corner of Bandera and Turtle Creek, but blue-haired post office regulars were none too happy during the lunchtime rush today.
