GET OUT THERE!

|

If you’re in your office this afternoon—GET OUT! The weather’s as good as it gets, and down on Cedar Springs, they’re absolutely lollygagging around on the lawn at Lee Park and all over the place along Turtle Creek. So why aren’t you?

It just so happened that the classic guitar riff from “Free Bird” came on the radio as I was cruising along the creek with windows down, and I have to tell you, if you’re too cool to think that wasn’t about the perfect way to enjoy the drive, your cool needs to go in for a little repair. That or maybe “Southbound” by the Allman Bros. Band, or something by Atlanta Rhythm Section, or Marshall Tucker, maybe even Dr. John or the Nevilles….you know, that kind of mood. Or anything, any music. Who cares but you? Just get out and enjoy the Dallas afternoon as it melds into happy hour. It’s what it’s all about, no?
