Who knew our City was at odds with the feds? We were, but we reached a $3.5 million settlement. Back in February of ’04, the EPA said we “failed to implement, adequately fund and adequately staff the City’s stormwater management program.” As per the settlement, Dallas will build two wetlands and pay a civil penalty of $800,000. We’ll also fully staff our stormwater management program. If I were hired, I’d insist on being called a stormtrooper. ‘Cause that’s how I roll.
