That’s how Dallas Rep. Dan Branch describes the school finance compromise that just passed the Texas Senate and now goes to the House. He expects approval in the House as early as tomorrow. One bit of disappointing news: the Senate watered down the provision on moving school board elections to November. They made it local option. Given the option, the Dallas school board will opt for the one that produces the fewest voters and therefore gives them to best chance on holding on to their seats.
