TRAVEL WRITING AWARDS

Several Dallas area writers and editors, including yours truly, were winners in this year’s travel writing competition from the Society of American Travel Writers’ Central States Chapter, the largest in the SATW, and which had its annual meeting here last week. The info isn’t on a web site yet, but the complete list is in the jump. Pay special attention to “Best Newspaper Article on U.S./Canada Travel,” “Best Newspaper Travel Section,” and “Best Travel Commentary.” No particular reason:
