RE: EATZI’S/IMMIGRATION

|

A construction-company-owning FBvian who works downtown but not at Victory says work stoppage? What work stoppage?

First off, INS is no longer, it’s now called ICE. [Editor’s note: he’s right and I should have pointed that out in the previous post. The full title is Immigration and Customs Enforcement, under the Department of Homeland Security.]

Secondly, being in the construction business, I haven’t seen an ICE raid on a jobsite since 9-11. In fact, the local head honcho said at a construction conference last year that he didn’t care about picking up illegals on jobsites, but rather, picking up possible terrorists at D/FW.

Third, when ICE hits jobsites, my guys start getting nervous. Not a single employee [yesterday] said anything.

Anyone from Victory care to clarify things?
