NEW TIMES’ JOURNALISM MODEL: “A DINOSAUR”

Over on Polis, former alt-weekly editor Lisa Chamberlain notes the turmoil at the Village Voice since it merged with Phoenix’s New Times, parent of the Dallas Observer, and questions how long the new conglomerate will survive, given that

“…this particular brand of one-stop-shopping-alt-weekly journalism is a dinosaur and has been for while now, whether it’s a die-hard lefty paper or a juvenile gotcha paper.”
