So the Benu Spa in the Phoenix Midtown Apartments is history, replaced by Pure Spa and Salon. I still think the location is a little funky for peace and relaxation, but I suppose we should take it where we can get it. Here’s the official word:

30 minutes, a few hours or a day at PURE will leave you feeling just that — pure — free from stress, city air, mental pollution, and all the other extraneous elements that complicate life. PURE Spa and Salon is an upscale, full-service spa and salon offering hair, nail, massage and skin care services for men and women. Launched at the beginning of April, PURE is located in The Phoenix Midtown Apartments on Mockingbird Lane in the Mockingbird Station district (in the former Benu Spa & Salon space).

PURE Spa and Salon’s guiding principle is “modern.balanced.complete.” “Modern” indicates that the salon has a contemporary, tasteful, yet simple style and offers services and treatments that are new and innovative. “Balanced” means that the salon offers a wide range of services for both men and women. “Complete” means that everything the customer needs can be accommodated in the facility — skin care, massage, nail care, and hair care. Modern, balanced, complete care is the PURE difference.

Kelley Gray, owner of PURE Spa and Salon and next door’s Trophy Fitness Club, says, “I am very excited to be a part of the spa industry, as I believe that it is an extension of a healthy lifestyle. We’re committed to keep you looking and feeling your absolute best! Our professional, qualified staff is focused on providing you with superior customer service in a relaxed and welcoming environment.” Robyn Gray, Kelley’s wife, is PURE’s Spa Manager.
