RE: OPEN SEASON

By |

From Karl-Thomas Musselman, who signs himself as owner of The Burnt Orange Report:

Besides the fact that the image in your post is now out of date, making the content of above mentioned post a bit curious to new readers, this
BlogAd buy by MSNBC has indeed been a curious one. Edgy and at times
inappropriate, there was no way to expect what future images were planned when the ad was accepted.

I happen to be Catholic and also half German. On a certain level, yes the ad was offensive, but having been a regular reader of Burnt Orange Report (considering I’m the owner) it was hard not to take it too seriously given the nature of the previous images used in this ad buy. And I have to say, the graphic was well done if the target was to generate click-throughs.

Making fun of the Catholic Church and Holy Father is not part of a fair day’s work among liberals, unless of course you are referring to MSNBC’s corporate division, in which case, take it up with them, not with me.

I don’t recall taking it up with you, and you can bet your britches I’m taking it up with them. But I find an odd insinuation in your message, that somehow because this “edgy” ad was done by MSNBC corporate, it wasn’t done by anti-Catholic liberals. Karl-Thomas, have you ever been to New York?
