The City Council is mulling over a proposal to update and enlarge the Cotton Bowl. Tom Dunning mentioned as much at yesterday’s Dallas Citizens Council meeting, stressing that it was subject to approval. Thing is, I heard that the Cotton Bowl wasn’t on the agenda until the very last minute yesterday, which makes a cynical person like me think the proposal was slapdash and only done for the purposes of headlines.
