AN ITEM ABOUT TESTICLES

|

It’s true:

From a running FBvian:

Looking to run the White Rock Marathon on Sunday, Dec. 11 but not ready for the full 26.2 miles?

Team Nuts (www.teamnuts.org) needs volunteers to fill out its five-person relay teams – the goal is 200 runners in 40 teams. That’s five people to a team, each running about five miles. Anyone can do that.

Team Nuts is a marathon team of testicular and prostate cancer survivors and their supporters that has raised more than $140,000 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the Dallas Methodist Hospital Foundation since 1999. Started in 1999 with just three members, Team Nuts is now the largest running club at the annual Dallas White Rock Marathon.

If you want to join Team Nuts, e-mail Mike Wyatt at [email protected], or join the team at their burger and beer happy hour on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the Stoneleigh P from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

It’s about male cancer awareness, running and beer. Come run your rocks off.
