Knight Ridder snuck into town and bought two Dallas publications yesterday: DFW Job Connection and DFW Auto Connection. Both are free-distribution classifieds; Job Connection is published weekly in three zoned editions. KR already publishes AutoFinder in this market via the Star-Telegram, so if I’m counting right that gives KR two out of three–the third being AutoTrader, published out of LA. As for previous posts about KR, it looks like a little shareholder kvetching is not slowing them down.
