I’m told the Channel 11 story is VERY popular reading among the state’s criminal justice community. I think the News hasn’t mentioned it because they can’t get it sourced. They don’t have the leaked documents that Channel 11 does proving what Hodge has been up to. This leaves them in a quandry. The only way the paper can report the story is to mention Channel 11 and give the station credit. That gives the paper fits.
If Todd Bensman over at Channel 11 saw Laura Miller kill a hobo and bury the body in her backyard, and if he was the only eyewitness, and if Robert Riggs then broke the story on the 10 o’clock news, I bet the DMN could ignore the story for a week. Maybe longer.
