WHOLE FOODS INVASION

|

The fight for upscale foodie dollars is heating up and Whole Foods is well positioned for battle. The Preston Forest store will move across the street to the old Minyard’s location and double it’s size (from 40,000 to 80,000 square feet). A fairway-lovin’ Front Burnervian Foodie feeds us this from his foxhole in commercial real estate:

I heard confirmation that Whole Foods is going to build an 80,000 sf store across from Northpark on the old Northpark East land just north of The Richards Group Tower. It will be modeled after the new flagship store in Austin.

That means loads of prepared foods and food stations for quick pick up. Central Market are you listening?
