[TAP, TAP] HELLO? IS THIS THING ON?

|

About a month ago, Tim Rogers agreed to be my agent when I was released from my job as lifestyle reporter at Channel 11. A word of advice for unemployed TV hosts: Tim sucks as an agent. I fired him last night at the aforementioned poker party. (Did he mention that last night he was wearing leather pants AND he was hootin’ and hollerin’ in a most undignified way? No, I didn’t think so.)

Anyway, I have restaurant scoop. I really hope Nancy Nichols doesn’t mind because I respect her for many things, not least of which is her ability to eat and drink for a living and still have a kickin’ little bod. So last night I ran into chef Michael Weinstein, formerly of City Café, Aurora, and Bay Leaf. Starting Tuesday he’s going to be the new chef at the Grape. He joins a long line of famous chefs who include, of all people, artist Julian Schnabel. Further Grape trivia: restaurant legend Alberto Lombardi was the first waiter at the Grape.

Nancy, will you still let me go with you when you review sushi restaurants?
