ANOTHER TRUE STORY ABOUT LAST NIGHT

|

The Little Chit, 6, woke up last night unable to breathe. Breathing is important. I called our pediatrician, talked to a nurse, she said hustle him into the ER. Props to Medical City. Every time I’ve visited their ER, I’ve had a good experience. My favorite part from this trip: when the doc asked TLC to take a deep breath and exhale, he took a deep breath–and then farted. He’ll be fine. A visit to the pediatrician this morning produced a diagnosis of asthma. Could be croop, but probably asthma. Dr. Bergman says he’s troubled by the number of asthma cases he’s seen in recent years. Welcome to Dallas.

One last thing: D‘s health insurance provider is Humana. There isn’t enough storage space on our server for me to detail here my grievances with that miserable company. In short, as Paul Kix would say, Humana sucks.
