WHAT YOU CAN DO

This just in:
To Volunteer Your Time:
People looking to volunteer AT REUNION ARENA or the DALLAS CONVENTION CENTER need to attend an orientation at a local Red Cross facility. To fill out an application, click here, or go to the Red Cross and fill it out there. The nearest Red Cross to our office is at 4800 Harry Hines Blvd (214-678-4800). The class is approximately 3 hours, and you will be certified to volunteer at any of the local shelters, Reunion Arena, or at the Convention Center. Anyone in the medical field may attend a “rapid class”, in order to speed up the process.

To Give Money:
Local Kroger food stores
Credit cards accepted over the phone 1-800-HELP-NOW
Checks and cash are accepted at all Red Cross locations (checks payable to American Red Cross), and you may obtain a receipt at the facility.

To Give Food, Water, and Perishable Items:
North Food Bank, 1228 N. Beltline RD., Irving 75061 (The sign outside the address says Davis Mobility.)
4306 Shilling Way in Irving (214-330-1396)
OR you may drop them off at any of the shelters, they will deny volunteers if you are not certified through Red Cross raining, but they will not deny your donations

To Give Clothing:

Specify that the clothes are for the New Orleans victims, NOT FOR RESALE
