UGANDA POLITICS PLAY OUT IN DALLAS

By Adam McGill |

This story confuses me and fascinates me at the same time. Okay. I think I got it: the Ugandan American Association of Greater Dallas Fort Worth throws a fundraiser at the Intercontinental Hotel. The Nabagereka is there, aka the Queen of Buganda. The mayor and his entourage show up at the last minute. He demands to sit at the high table with the Nabagereka, but that would imply the two of them agree on certain hot-button issues. They do not. The organizers offer to put the mayor close to the high table, but not at it. Not good enough. The mayor and his entourage storm out.

Sounds like a good sub-plot for West Wing. John Wells, are you reading this?
