TRUTH IN ADVERTISING

|

We’re told the semi-private club Medici has inexplicably employed the use of a billboard (exclusive club + billboard = weird). Even more inexplicably, they have borrowed the Vegas campaign slogan: “What happens at Medici, stays at Medici.”

Not only do we have no idea what this means, butg it’s, umm, inaccurate. Kayla Proffitt, a former Medici bartender, was a “young girl who liked to party.” (According to the now-archived DMN article, which also, curiously enough, mentioned that her picture was on our sister site, D Scene. Thanks for the shout-out, DMN!) Kayla received a DUI last February, and 10 days later, she killed a young girl in a drunk driving accident after a night out.

Too bad Kayla didn’t stay at Medici.
