As stated previously, I missed out on the DART Rail briefing yesterday morning. But you better believe Tony Hartzel was there. Basically, the recent study says rail transit has had a huge–think billions–economic impact on North Texas. One thing that’s helped: zoning changes that allow for higher-density projects close to the rail line. Mockingbird Station is the oft-touted example, but Robert Shaw also drops props to DART for Eastside Village in Plano.
