Now we’re talking. The city’s response just got better. Laura Miller has orchestrated a helluva deal. Upshot: T.D. Jakes and the Potter’s House will get all the evacuees into actual homes. 7-Eleven is selling Mardi Gras beads to raise money. The money will go into the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund, whose goal is $3 million. This is good stuff. And if Bishop Jakes is involved, you know it’s going to be a successful operation. Kudos all around.
