More on ACL. A friend-having FrontBurnervian got the following e-mail from a friend who works with SBC, the title sponsor of the concert.

We just heard on the radio that the city may still end up canceling even if Capital Sports doesn’t agree due to safety reasons. Apparently the platforms for the bands, lighting, sound, etc., are only built to withstand 40 MPH winds and we’re expecting up to 75 MPH. Also, part of the reason the promoters want it to go on is that they didn’t buy the insurance against acts of nature and if it’s canceled, they have to reimburse everybody out of their pockets.
