L’AFFAIR CHANNEL 11

A little bit of tidying up this morning. We learned last week that Mattie Roberts had been let go from Channel 11–but not because she posed for a saucy photo with reporter Jim Walker. We also learned that Jim had been let go–but we were unsure as to why. The Dallas Voice brings us a story that offers both the official explanation for his termination and Jim’s own theory. The station says he was fired for not protecting a source’s identity; Jim says he was fired for being gay. Given that Channel 11 is our broadcast partner and, further, given that Jim is dating a D employee, I’ll leave this one to the Voice.
