I have in my hand a list of more than 100 Albertsons locations that are listed as available properties across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. I’ve heard that Super Value, a grocery store chain from up north, has already purchased a bunch of them. Does this mean Albertsons is closing up shop (in this area, at least)? Signs point to “Yes.” Would I have to make a series of phone calls, enduring hours of hold music, to find out more? Again, signs point to “Yes.” Am I going to? Indications are “Probably Not.”
