WHERE YOU SHOULD BE TONIGHT

Looking for something to do? Wanting to drink, but feeling guilty that you always drink and it’s never for a good cause? Then head to The Grapevine tonight, where raffles, a pool tournament, and a portion of sales go to the American Heart Association. Two press releases after the jump.

This Wed., August 24th from 5:30 p.m. – 2 a.m. we are having Heart Night at The Grapevine Bar. This is a fundraiser co-sponsored by The Planet, a web hosting company, to raise money for the American Heart Association Heart Walk. We are going to have a raffle where you can Ipods, a $500 bar tab, a hot air balloon ride and lots of other great stuff. We will also be having a pool tournament and games on the basketball court where you can also win prizes. 20% of our sales for the night will be donated along with all the money raised in the raffle. You do not have to be present to win your prize. We are located a 3902 Maple Ave. or you can call us at 214-522-8466. Please pass this along so we can raise a lot of money for a great charity!

DALLAS – The PlanetSM , a leading provider of Web hosting solutions, and The Grapevine, one of Dallas’ most established late-night destinations, today announced they will co-sponsor and promote “American Heart Night at The Grapevine.” The fundraising event will be held on Wed., August 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. at The Grapevine Bar, 3902 Maple Avenue in Dallas, near the corners of Maple and Oak Lawn Avenues. Twenty percent of The Grapevine’s sales from the event will be donated to the American Heart Association.

The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Since 1919, cardiovascular disease has been the No. 1 killer in the United States.

The event will feature a raffle, games with prizes, pool tournament, basketball shooting contest and more. Food will be provided with generous support from Pizza Patron.

Raffle prizes include generous donations from several local businesses and include: a $500 party from The Grapevine, iPods courtesy of The Real Estate Expo, Angelica Theatre Tickets, Lone Star Park Race Tickets compliments of Affinity Sports Marketing, Chili’s Gift Certificates from Expo Lending, a Witch Child Doll compliments of Wild Child Productions, Blockbuster Video Rentals and Coca Cola products.

The Planet is an ongoing partner with the American Heart Association in the fight against heart disease and contributes regularly to the efforts of the organization.

“We are excited about partnering with The Grapevine. With our combined efforts, we expect American Heart Night to be a great success,” said Kristin Herring, director of marketing for The Planet.

“Heart health issues are extremely important,” said Michelle Fiaschetti, owner of The Grapevine, who lost her husband to heart disease at an early age. “We believe this event will contribute to the good work of the American Heart Association and allow them to continue the battle against cardiovascular conditions which effect so many Americans.”
