SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION

|

Hey, what are you doing tomorrow night? Wanna have some fun and learn a few tricks of the trade at the same time? My buddy Karen Cassady, cooking school director at Central Market, and I are combining a cooking class with a book club. We’re not quite sure what to call the concept yet but rest assured it has nothing to do with cookbooks. It’s a hands-on cooking lesson combined with an intelligent, insightful, wine-fueled conversation of Ruth Reichl’s book Garlic and Sapphires which recounts her “secret life of a critic in disguise.” It all takes place at Central Market on Lovers at 6:30. I plan on burning the cheesecake and Reichl. Come on, I promise it won’t be your mama’s cooking class.
