WFAA lost Wheel of Fortune to KTVT because WFAA was no longer willing to pay the increasingly high price to KingWorld.
(And, of course, KTVT is owned by the same parent company as KingWorld.) Also, you should point out that Wheel of Fortune is about the only thing on WFAA these days that does double-digit ratings outside of prime time.
But with all of the money WFAA’s saving, think of all the vowels they can buy.
