RE: DELTA 191

Bud Kennedy responds:

The current debate is really about whether to keep the Wright Amendment, or remove it and all limits on Love Field growth.

The Love Field Master Plan gets a lot of attention in Dallas as a tool to limit the size of Love. But nobody outside Southwest Airlines and Dallas City Hall thinks it’s enforceable.

If the Wright Amendment is repealed, nothing will legally prevent Love from returning to a 60-gate airport, depending on market demand.

I question whether residents of Dallas truly want to return that many flights to their airport.
