CARBONATED RACE CARD

|

Someone call James Fantroy, because I’ve got a racial issue I need help with. News comes to us today that Dallas’ own Jim Turner might buy Big Red (which isn’t as easy as you might think to find on the Web). And the story says that the soda is popular with Hispanics. Is that true? Because I thought Big Red was a black thing. In fact, according this Texas Monthly ditty, black folks came up with the name “Big Red.” If someone can’t straighten this out for me, I’m going to make the Los Angeles riot look like a picnic.
