SLURPEE MANIA TAKES MANHATTAN

|

Only yesterday I was lamenting on my own blog how there’s a dearth of Slurpees to quench my parched throat now that I live in the Baked, I mean Big, Apple. I was quickly informed that there are myriad 7-11 stores in Brooklyn, some on Staten Island, and, as of a few days ago, I have to travel only as far as lower Park Avenue to get a Big Gulp. Rumor has it that Slurpee Mania has Manhattanites in a full-blown frenzy and that even jaded New Yorkers can’t get enough of the chain’s 1/4-Pound Big Bite. Just this morning we learned that a second 7-11 will open, on the Upper East Side, this fall. Oh, be still my broken heart!
